What to know about Data Deletion

Important Information About Data Deletion for Shared Hosting, VPS, Dedicated Accounts, and Virtual Machines

It's important to always have backup copies of your data. Here’s an overview of our data deletion policies for different hosting services:

Shared Hosting Accounts

Once your Shared Hosting account is terminated for any reason, all files, websites, and data will be permanently deleted. SuburbanCloud is not responsible for any data loss, so it’s crucial to maintain offline backups of all your content. Even if you use backup services like Site Backup and Restore, we strongly recommend keeping additional copies offline.

VPS and Dedicated Accounts

If your VPS or Dedicated Hosting subscription expires:

  • Access to your VPS account will be restricted immediately after expiration.
  • If not renewed, the server will be suspended after 13 days of restricted access.
  • After 1month without renewal, the server may be reclaimed, and all data will be permanently deleted.

SuburbanCloud is not responsible for any loss of data resulting from this process.

Virtual Machines

For Virtual Machines, all data will be permanently deleted 3 months after your subscription expires. Please ensure you have backups of your virtual machine data before this timeframe ends.
